Adding Contacts and Users- Account Registration Strategies and Methods

Overview

There are a few methods that can be used to add a contact and user into your Kore Commerce site. Each one has a use case that can be used for various situations. Below, we provide a brief overview of each method with links to their respective pages in this subsection.

Self-Registration Methods

This method allows a contact to add themselves into your Kore Commerce site. This method is especially useful for B2C operations that require self-service and purchasing capabilities for contacts.

Administrative Setup Methods

This method allows an administrator on your site to set up a contact and their user permissions. Administrative setup of a user allows for an extra layer of security and visibility, which can be especially useful for B2B operations requiring tightly controlled contacts.

Automation Setup via API

The automation setup is used for adding contacts who are already established within your ERP system. Using the API integration between Kore Commerce and Kore Integrate, you will be able to migrate these established contacts effectively.

Mass Load Contacts Strategy

This strategy is usually used as a one-time, large migration of contacts from your ERP system into your Kore Commerce. It is similar to the Automation Setup, but is generally only used in when looking to quickly migrate a large number of contacts already established outside of your Kore Commerce site.

In the four linked pages, we will discuss each of these strategies in depth.
